Luxurious 2016 Acura RDX Arrives with Enhanced Performance and Safety Tech

With a starting MSRP of $35,270*, the 2016 RDX builds upon last year’s model with even more performance, features and capability.
We’ll start under the hood, where the 2016 RDX is now driven by a more powerful 3.5-liter i-VTEC® V6 that delivers 279 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. Despite an increase in power, the new engine is also more efficient. Overall fuel economy has risen by 1 mpg across the board for both front-wheel and all-wheel drive models courtesy of its Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology, which allows for the deactivation of three of the engine’s six cylinders during less intense driving.
Of course, Acura models have come to be defined by their impeccable handling, and the 2016 RDX improves on this front as well. Cornering and overall driving refinement is improved by new active front and rear engine mounts, as well as updates to the steering control system and increased suspension mount stiffness. Even the available AWD with Intelligent Control system has been tuned for greater rear torque bias, resulting in enhanced stability and all-weather performance.
With a restyled front and rear fascia, including a new three-dimensional grille and Acura’s signature Jewel Eye™ headlights and LED taillights, the 2016 RDX benefits from a number of new design elements that help move it more in line with Acura’s leading-edge design DNA.
Other significant improvements include a revamped interior, complete with new high-contrast silver and black trim, standard heated front seats, and a new line-topping Advance Package that features unique items like machined alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, ventilated front seats, and the full suite of AcuraWatch™ advanced driver-assist technologies.
