2017 Acura MDX Earns 2017 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ Rating for 4th Straight Year

That’s why we’re pleased to inform you that the 2017 Acura MDX has earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from IIHS. In fact, it’s the fourth year in a row that the MDX has earned this recognition!

Additional eyes on the road

Helping the 2017 MDX to achieve its outstanding safety rating is the AcuraWatch™ suite of active safety and driver-assistive technologies. Two technologies that are integral to this package are the MDX’s Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system. They act as "additional eyes on the road" and work in concert to help alert, avoid, or reduce the severity of an unavoidable impact by supplying a sound alert to warn the driver of a potential hazard and then applying hard braking if no action is taken by the driver.

AcuraWatch™ also includes Road Departure Mitigation (RDW) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW) that’s designed to warn you if your MDX strays from its lane or the road itself, as well as Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF).

AcuraWatch™ is standard equipment on the MDX and provides additional peace of mind that helps deliver an exceptional and safe driving experience each and every time you get behind the wheel.

In addition to AcuraWatch™, all new Acura models come with a multi-angle rearview camera as standard equipment.
