Acura Precision Concept Car Debuts at 2016 North American International Auto Show

Back in December, the Hall Acura Virginia Beach team was pretty excited about Acura's latest announcement: the company's Precision concept car was going to debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show. Acura released a teaser image of the vehicle, a few sweeping lines of red, but now that we've finally gotten to see the whole thing, and it was definitely worth the wait.

The Precision concept car is a design-study model, so we don't have any news on potential powertrains, but based on looks alone, we're impressed. A gorgeous piece of automotive engineering, the Precision concept is a bold leap forward in terms of Acura's styling. It features wide haunches, bigger even than the NSX's, and deeply sculpted side surfaces make it look like it's in motion even when completely still.

Acura's design team made sure that the vehicle's style flowed seamlessly from the outside in. As you open the door and step inside, you'll notice that the rocker panel transitions into the doorsill, which then flows into the seats, all of which makes for a very smooth look. Tech-wise, the Precision boasts a wide, curved screen that wouldn't look out of place in a sci-fi novel. Speaking of which, Acura says that on entering the Precision, the vehicle "scans each occupant and selects personalized features and functions, including maps, audio and customized vehicle performance settings." It seems science fiction has become science fact.

We'll give you more details on the Precision concept vehicle when we get them, but from what we've seen so far, we're impressed. Acura has really come through with an exciting design, and we can't wait to see these design elements show up in the brand's lineup.

If you'd like to explore what Acura has in store for you today, however, feel free to call, contact us online, or stop by the dealership today. We're confident we'll be able to find just the right new or used vehicle for you.
