Entire Acura Model Line Earns 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK+ Rating from IIHS

That shouldn’t be an issue any longer, though, as Acura has become the first luxury brand to earn a 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating for its entire model line from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Earning particular praise were the refreshed 2016 ILX and 2016 RDX, which each received a 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, when equipped with AcuraWatch™.

AcuraWatch™ is an advanced safety suite that includes a number of technologies designed to significantly increase the safety of the vehicle and all of its passengers. These include features like Collision Mitigation Braking System™ with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

But cutting-edge technology isn’t the only thing keeping you safe on the road. Both the 2016 Acura RDX and ILX offer enhanced crash safety design thanks to Acura’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure.
