2023 Acura RDX

Overview

The 2023 RDX is the culmination of steady improvement and Acura’s uncompromising devotion to detail. The premium sport crossover shares many exterior details with the larger MDX crossover, including the aggressively sporty front fascia that’s become the marque’s signature feature. Inside, the RDX adds available open-pore wood accents and full-grain Premium Milano leather upholstery to its palette of high-quality trim features. Drivers can customize the available Iconic Drive Ambient Cabin Lighting feature to enhance their driving experience. In addition to a base RDX, Acura covers all of the bases with four different packages: TECHNOLOGY, A-Spec, ADVANCE, and A-Spec Advance.

The Perfect Ride For…

Drivers who crave luxury but desire the unconventional. The 2023 RDX pairs its electrifying design elements with the smart technology features and creature comforts expected of a premium crossover. With up to 79.8 cubic feet of max cargo volume available and easily accessible rear cargo underfloor storage, the 5-seater RDX also brings an impressive level of utility to the table. The True Touchpad Interface features absolute positioning for more precise navigation, making it easier for tech lovers to interact with the infotainment system’s 10.2-inch full-HD display and its array of smart features, including wireless smartphone integration. The available ELS Studio 3D premium audio system channels high-quality sound through 16 speakers, with 4 of those speakers embedded in the headliner for a genuine surround sound experience.

Drive and Handling

At the core of the 2023 Acura RDX is a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder. Using Acura’s famous VTEC technology, this engine offers a generous 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The engine channels its power through a 10-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels when equipped as standard. Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive or SH-AWD system comes available as an option on most trims and standard on the ADVANCE and A-Spec ADVANCE. Handling also benefits from a variety of upgrades, including a retuned suspension and firmer feedback from the iBooster braking system.

The base RDX is rated at 24 mpg combined (22 mpg city/28 mpg highway)* while models equipped with SH-AWD are rated at 23 mpg combined (21 mpg city/27 mpg highway).*

Key Features

Integrated Dynamics System

This feature lets drivers choose between Comfort, Normal, Snow, and Sport modes to best suit their preferred driving styles and traction needs. Choosing Sport Mode increases the responsiveness of the available Adaptive Dampers while increasing torque vectoring on SH-AWD-equipped models.

AcuraWatch

No 2023 Acura RDX is complete without AcuraWatch, a suite of advanced driver-assistive features designed to give RDX drivers an extra boost of confidence on the open road. Features like the Collision Mitigation Braking System and Pedestrian Detection help drivers anticipate and even avoid collisions with pedestrians and other vehicles. Another feature that makes your drives easier is Traffic Sign Recognition, which displays speed limits and other signs on the dashboard and the available head-up display.

Alternative Options

If you want more space, the flagship MDX might be a better fit for you. Drivers who want an agile model with great cargo space might also consider the new Acura Integra. Not sure yet? That's ok too!
